ACADEMIC STANDARDS AND INSTRUCTION
Mission
The Academic Standards and Instruction Committee assures the college maintains a high quality of education for the academic programs offered by the College.
Goals
The Academic Standards and Instruction Committee
1. Makes recommendations concerning faculty evaluation, promotion and tenure criteria,
2. Address academic areas of concern as determined by analysis of data from returning students, graduates, and employees,
3. Screens all academic grants, especially the LEQSF grants,
4. Reviews existing policy and practices concerning academic standards, admission requirements, probation and suspension policies, and graduation requirements recommending changes to the Academic Council, and
5. Reviews academic programs and assures that all mandates for accreditation and Board requirements are satisfied
