Louisiana Chemical Association State Process Technology Board Meeting
                  Larry Goodwin, Process Technology coordinator was honored during the Louisiana Chemical Association State Process Technology Board meeting held recently on the Nunez campus.  That event marked the first time the Board ever held a statewide meeting outside of Baton Rouge.
            “The board wanted the meeting here at Nunez,” Goodwin said.  “About 40 people from around the state wanted to come to see firsthand our labs and equipment.”

 One of three PTEC board members given the Alden Andre PTEC Service Award.
           Finalist for the National Educator of the Year Award given by the Center for the Advancement of Process Technology (CAPT) during the Gulf Coast Process Technology Alliance meeting.

Keith Tolleson
One of four instructors in the nation honored for work done in Alaska’s oil field.  Received a plaque of appreciation for meritorious service through his contribution to oil and gas training in Alaska.  Tolleson was chosen by CAPT, British Petroleum and ConocoPhillips to spend two summers in Alaska working in the Alaskan oilfield and viewing firsthand new technological advancements in drilling and exploration.  At the time Tolleson was the only Process Technology instructor in Louisiana who was teaching oil exploration and production courses in the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS).
